Ziggy's has real personality and buzz. It tunes in to the character of the original strip: the Whisky a Go Go, Rainbow, Troubadour, et al. The staff were super helpful and friendly without being false and are young and energetic. It really felt like home-away-from-home and we were sad to leave. A big shout out to Austin, Eric, Kaera and the big man at the valet station...but that's not to say that all of the staff weren't great. The staff were a big part of what set Ziggy's apart from the various other hotels we stayed at during our trip. I was travelling with my 13 year old son and he absolutely loved the hotel, its staff, the buzz and...well, there's only one way to say it, the cool. For a relatively shy boy he really came alive, chatting to staff and other guests, and took himself off to the pool table upstairs on the mezzanine (a great quiet space for some down time), the outdoor pool and bar area, happy to just hang. We were there for 4 days during which there was a pool party and live band in the event space, both of which were great, and firsts for my son. Don't worry, they don't go on too late. The interiors are cool, the rooms spotless and the hotel laid out over four floors around a central pool space. The food in the bar area is also great and the pizzas and burgers were the best we had in our two week road trip down the west coast. Thank you Ziggy's for the Hz bucket hat, plectrums, badges and stickers. They are now all pride of place in my son's room. All in all, Ziggy's is a fantastic place to stay and a perfect spot to base yourself for exploring the sights of LA.

The location is unbeatable, right in the center of the Sunset Strip. As Eric, our bellman and host said, "turn right and you've got comedy clubs, turn left and you've got music". There's great food everywhere from cheap eats to high class celebrity spots. (I highly recommend Bossa Nova, a reasonably priced Brazilian place just a short walk away. Great diverse menu with good vegetarian options. Get the avocado tartar). The style of this place is A+. Clearly a lot of thought and care went into the design, and it shines through. It's a funky, fun, and inspired atmosphere all around you from the lobby to the rooms to the pool. The pool is the largest on the sunset strip, and it was sunny through most of the day. It's open late so on hot nights you can get some nice night swimming in. We stayed in a "swim-up" room, which meant we were right by the pool, but it never felt noisy or like we lacked privacy. The room itself is gorgeous with a huge mirror, nice closet, good shower, and a good sized fridge. Eric was great with his recommendations, information about the resort, and in helping us get set up in our room. He's a real character and clearly loves what he does and the environment he's working in. Our two valet drivers were also extremely nice, quick, and had their own recs about the surrounding areas and other neighborhoods to check out (I wish we'd gotten their names, but they were awesome). Everyone at the front desk during check-in and check-out were friendly, quick, and accommodating. And the service we got at the bar was great. Drinks were creative and tasty.

staff and the concept. we’ve stayed at their hotels before but this was first time. not totally ideal for family and 9 yr old as it’s a cool music fuelled hotel with a great bar. but this was our choice as our son has been a few Times to LA and doesn’t mind staying up. newly renovated and changed concept and it’s novel for the strip. for 45yr old parents to be able to listen to live music eat pizza and be with our 9 yr old up to 10.30pm was amazing. and the staff and guests were great. and the place wasn’t super busy or crowded or in anyway a worry at night

Alexander

Loved the whole vibe... we are musicians, and everything in the hotel is about music. Even B Side pizza attached. They have a little nightclub too (no music when we were there though). The decor is super cute!! The pool decor too! It is walking distance to tons of restaurants, nightclubs (all the old classic clubs... Viper Room, Rainbow Room, Whisky a Go Go, Roxy) are all within a block of each other if you are into rock and roll nostalgia. We also walked a block away to The Comedy Club. Starbucks just a block away too. Perfect location!

Lori

Was only there for one night and wasn't able to get the whole "Ziggy" experience, but from the moment we walked through the threshold, I LVOED the vibe of the place. The room was decorated perfectly and the size of the room was ideal. Again, didn't get to spin any records or languish by the pool, but I'll be damned if I don't try and make it back there to do more than sleep and shower. Hotel Ziggy is my kind of place...
